Chris in Surgery 2:00AM June 7

HUP, called about 10 PM and indicated that they had a set of donor lungs, so we drove like crazy and made it down to Philly about 11:30 PM.  They did some tests and wheeled him to the OR about 12:30 AM.  He is there now and we are waiting for word.  I expect that we won't know much until sometime in the morning. 

More as it becomes available.

Erroneous

Please disregard any email you may have recieved yesterday announcing an 8:20 call under a post called "Here We GO".

Dad was posting it onto January 3rd (for posterity, I guess?), but the email notification did not mention that. (Obviously, he did not consult me before trying this.)

This does not count as me crying "Wolf" again, by the way. Instead, just consider it another reason not to ever let old people near technology.

Surgery was cancelled. The donor lungs had some type of infectious infiltrate. The docs had indicated this could happen 30% of the time.

So we will be heading back home shortly.
